Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you -unless, of course, you fail the test? 2 Corinthians 13:5
Everyone takes stock consciously or unconsciously, "weighing in", critiquing oneself and holding self accountable.
Taking stock requires examining current situation and working out what is to be added or subtracted to keep you going on the determined path or to help navigate back from the frolic you are on.
It starts with the question: What do I want?
In the process,
1. be kind to yourself.
welcome change and relax into it
nurture and love yourself
be understanding; no judgment allowed
2. be grateful
it gives you purpose and strength to be different
3. be proud of your hopes and the action steps you are taking to becoming your desired self
follow your intuition
Same way as we take stock on our earthly sojourn - career, relationships, dreams etc., it is important to take stock of our journey towards the afterlife. What and where would it be? Are you purposefully walking the path that will take you to your desired destination?
Are you running the race set before you with endurance, laying aside every weight and sin that clings so closely? Are you looking up to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith to help you run this race to the end? Are you fighting the good fight, keeping the faith, so you can finish the race victorious?
Ponder on these and if found wanting, wait upon the Lord and he will renew your strength.
